"You Learn Something New Every Day"! Come join us to hear about some of the exciting new research in the field of nanoindentation.

We are mixing it up this year with a new format! Instead of long session, we are having multiple short sessions spread out over the week of July 19, 2021:

- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (3:00pm, Berlin):
20/20: One 20 minute introductory presentation followed by one 20 minute guest research presentation on the same topic.

- July 20: Two research presentations!
“Advanced pillar splitting for the analysis of fracture toughness in non-conventional materials”, from Ph.D. student Edoardo Rossi of Roma Tre University
“A New Nanoindentation Method to Measure Surface Energy on Superhydrophobic Materials and Nanoengineered Micro-capsules”, presented by Professor Marco Sebastiani of Roma Tre University

- July 21: “Nanoindentation Creep Testing on Nanostructured Cu-alloys using a Novel Constant Contact Pressure Test Approach”, presented by Professor Karsten Durst of Technical University of Darmstadt
This talk will be preceded by "The Influence of Creep on Nanoindentation", by Dominik Weil of KLA Instruments

- July 22: “Micromechanics for Cardiovascular Disease”, presented by Dr. Riaz Akhtar of University of Liverpool
This talk will be preceded by "Measuring the Complex Shear Modulus of Biomaterials", presented by Jennifer Hay of KLA Instruments

Note that this registration is FOR THE 20/20 SESSIONS ONLY.
